Atlanta's First Ever Dîner en Blanc
The worldwide phenomenon known as Dîner en Blanc® is celebrating its 26th anniversary this year! Imported from Paris, this secret pop-up feast is considered a highly-sought after epicurean event for food lovers around the world.
For the first time, this secret picnic is coming to Atlanta!
This is a preview post to let you know that this dinner party is coming up on Thursday, October 16, 2014. You are invited to join the fun, so reserve your spot today! I'll be there.
This is how the event looks in Paris. Doesn't it look amazing?
Launched in 1988 by François Pasquier and a handful of friends, the Paris Dîner en Blanc now attracts more than 15,000 people each year. What began as a “friends and word-of-mouth only” event has grown into something much more than that.
This year, the event expands to more than 50 cities across five continents, from Paris to Sydney to Hong Kong to Jerusalem to New York and Los Angeles.
Diners gather at a secret location for the sole purpose of sharing a high-quality meal with good friends in one of their city's most beautiful locations.
Spontaneity and secrecy are paramount at this event, so the location is only revealed at the last minute.
Guests are asked to dress elegantly in white from head to toe, bring their own picnics, tables, chairs, fine china, silverware, and white tablecloth. Over the course of the evening, the diners eat and celebrate amid live music, dancing, and festive white balloons.
And this year, guests will toast the evening with Moët Ice Impérial, the official champagne of Dîner en Blanc in Atlanta! Cheers to that!
